Bonaccord Capital Partners acquired a minority stake in lower middle-market private equity firm MSouth Equity Partners,
Terms of the deal and the amount of the minority stake were not disclosed in an MSouth news release Monday. Bonaccord Capital Partners is a division of Aberdeen Standard Investments.
MSouth Equity Partners, based in Atlanta, invests primarily in the southern U.S. "with a consistent focus on management buyouts of business services, specialty distribution, niche manufacturing, health-care services and telecommunications/media companies," the news release said.
Bonaccord Capital's assets could not be learned. MSouth Equity Partners has $2.2 billion in assets under management across four funds.
Aberdeen Standard spokesman Guy Nicholls declined to comment. Michael D. Long, co-founder and partner at MSouth Equity Partners, did not return a phone call seeking further information.
