Rob Baillie was named head of State Street Corp.'s asset-owner business team for North America, spokesman Brendan Paul confirmed in an email.
It is a new position. Mr. Baillie will oversee the firm's asset-owner clients across North America and lead the service enhancements and solution development for State Street's pension fund and endowment clients. He will report to John Lehner, State Street's executive vice president and head of global services and its global asset management segment.
Mr. Baillie is head of State Street Canada. He will continue to retain this title and its responsibilities.
State Street had $32.6 trillion in assets under custody and administration and $2.8 trillion in assets under management as of March 31.
