Nevada County, Nevada City, Calif., is searching for record keepers for its 401(a) and 457 plans, said Desiree D. Belding, the county's deputy purchasing agent, in an email.
The county issued an RFP for firms to "provide retirement plan administration, record keeping, education, communications, investment-related, and other related services," according to the RFP. The current record keepers are ICMA-RC and Nationwide Financial. The $358.6 billion California Public Employees' Retirement System, Sacramento, also provides services to a portion of plan participants. Whether the current record keepers are invited to rebid could not be immediately learned. The plans have a combined $29 million in assets.
The RFP is available on the Public Purchase procurement website. Registration is required. Proposals are due at 5 p.m. PDT on June 27. Finalist interviews are scheduled for Sept. 17, with a decision expected shortly thereafter.
