Rhode Island State Investment Commission, Providence, committed a total of up to $75 million to three private equity funds, said Evan England, spokesman for state Treasurer Seth Magaziner, who oversees the commission.
At its meeting Wednesday, the commission approved a $30 million commitment to Clearlake Opportunities Partners II, a special situations/distressed debt fund managed by Clearlake Capital Group.
It also agreed to commit up to $25 million to Eureka III through a secondary sale and $20 million to Eureka IV, both buyout funds focusing on lower-middle-market companies managed by Eureka Equity Partners.
