New Jersey Division of Investment, which handles investments for the $76.5 billion New Jersey Pension Fund, Trenton, committed up to $100 million to Warburg Pincus China-Southeast Asia II, spokesman William Skaggs confirmed in an email.
The commitment to the Southeast Asia-focused private equity fund was announced Wednesday at a meeting of the State Investment Council, which governs investment policies for the division, a unit of the state Treasury Department.
The division has previously committed to five Warburg Pincus funds.
