Chris Messina was named director of client engagement at Transamerica, said company spokesman Hank Williams in an email.
The position is new. Mr. Messina will work with the firm's institutional clients. He will report to M. Palmer Whitney, senior director client engagement of workplace solutions at TransAmerica.
Mr. Williams declined to comment on Mr. Messina's previous position.
