Pensions & Investments will soon launch a new database to cover private funds closings, tracking back to 2010.
Assets invested in private equity, credit strategies, real assets and real estate have soared over the past decade. The database will track large institutional funds with more than $1 billion in total commitments.
An analysis of the data was previously posted here: Private Fund Report.
This is the first database that will utilize P&I's new design of the Research Center, a project that provided more data points and increased analytics.
Pensions & Investments is also creating a legal and regulatory database that will be available later this year. The database will list key data points on lawsuits P&I writes about, including parties involved in the lawsuit, court, amount involved in a settlement and numerous other fields. The database will also make all stories about various regulation and legislation globally easily filterable by detailed topic. An analysis of the data was previously posted here: Q1 2019 legal overview report.
In addition to the two new databases, P&I will relaunch the searches and hires database, M&A and pension risk transfer databases in the updated user interface.
All information is based on information reported by Pensions & Investments' global reporting staff.
