State of Wisconsin Investment Board, Madison, hired Meketa Investment Group as beta-one consultant and rehired StepStone Real Estate as real estate consultant, spokeswoman Vicki Hearing said in an email.
The board, which oversees $110.3 billion in assets, including the $93.6 billion Wisconsin Retirement System, issued RFPs in October due to its policy of putting consultant services up for bid every five to seven years. The incumbent beta-one consultant, Wilshire Associates, was invited to rebid. Ms. Hearing could not provide further information on other bidders.
The board's $8.9 billion beta-one equity portfolio and $4.2 billion beta-one fixed-income portfolio fall within the $18.3 billion "funds alpha" allocation, which also includes hedge funds. The real estate portfolio has about $6.9 billion in assets.
