Wendy Daniels, a veteran Transamerica marketing executive, has returned to the firm after a three-year stint at American International Group.
Ms. Daniels rejoined Transamerica as vice president and director of retirement strategy and not-for-profit practice leader, Transamerica announced in a news release Tuesday.
She will focus on executing the company's strategy to acquire retirement plan business with an emphasis on healthcare and higher education retirement plans. She will also lead the company's efforts in gathering new not-for-profit retirement plans and promoting Transamerica's growth as a specialized retirement plan provider, the news release said.
Ms. Daniels will report to Kent Callahan, senior managing director, workplace distribution and head of client management.
"We are delighted to have Wendy back on the Transamerica team, and know she is the right leader to guide our retirement strategy forward," Mr. Callahan said in the release.
Ms. Daniels was previously a senior vice president and health-care and government markets business leader of AIG Retirement Services (formerly known as VALIC), a role she held for three years.
Prior to that, she spent 30 years with Transamerica Retirement Solutions in numerous roles, including senior vice president, retirement marketing strategy.
