Greg Milani, senior managing director of Stanford Management Co., which manages Stanford University's $26.5 billion endowment, is retiring, university spokesman E.J. Miranda said in an email.
Mr. Milani is the second-highest ranked executive at Stanford Management Co., under CEO Robert Wallace.
Mr. Miranda declined to provide further information including when Mr. Milani would be leaving, whether he has been replaced or whether the investment office has launched a process to find a replacement.
The Stanford Management Co. managed a $28.7 billion merged pool for the Palo Alto, Calif., school as of June 30, which contains the endowment as well as other long-term assets.
