Kevin Roche was appointed director for private debt and collateralized loan obligations at Hermes Investment Management, a spokeswoman said.
The position is new. Reporting to Laura Vaughan, the head of direct lending, Mr. Roche helps to develop the firm's private debt business globally.
"(Mr. Roche's) impressive track record and expertise will be a valuable addition as we continue to strengthen and grow our private debt platform," Patrick Marshall, head of private debt and CLOs at Hermes, said in a news release.
Mr. Roche was a director at Allied Irish Banks, responsible for delivering leveraged finance loans to midmarket private equity backed companies.
Hermes has £34.1 billion ($44.3 billion) in assets under management.
