Rob Gambi was named global head of investments at BNP Paribas Asset Management, a spokesman said.
Mr. Gambi takes on the duties from Frederic Janbon, who acted as head of investments, in addition to his current role as CEO.
Mr. Gambi is responsible for managing all of the firm's investment teams. He oversees performance, process and research, as well as the firm's global sustainability strategy.
"(Mr. Gambi) will be instrumental in enhancing our investment platform, including overseeing the integration of our global sustainability strategy, in support of our goal of delivering long-term sustainable returns for our clients," Mr. Janbon said in a news release.
Formerly CIO of Henderson Global Investors, Mr. Gambi left the firm in late 2015 ahead of its merger with Janus Capital, a Janus Henderson spokesman confirmed.
After the merger of Janus Capital and Henderson Investors in 2017, Enrique Chang was appointed a CIO, the spokesman said.
BNP Paribas AM has €421 billion ($472 billion) in assets under management as of March 31.
