Hampshire County Council Pension Fund, Winchester, England, selected Barings and Alcentra to manage its multiasset credit portfolio, according to a notice on European procurement website Tenders Electronic Daily.
The managers will invest in high-yield fixed- and floating-rate corporate debt aiming to achieve a return of three months LIBOR plus 3% to 5% per year net of fees over three and five years.
The £6.6 billion ($8.6 billion) pension fund invests 10% of its strategic allocation in multiasset credit.
The value of investments are estimated to be £12.8 million to £14 million.
