Suzanne Cain was named global head of distribution by Janus Henderson Investors, effective May 20.
Global oversight of sales, marketing, client service and product strategy for institutional and retail channels will be Ms. Cain's responsibility, Janus Henderson spokeswoman Sally Todd confirmed in an email.
Ms. Cain will be based in Janus Henderson's Denver office.
Ms. Cain replaces Phil Wagstaff who left the firm in August.
Drew Elder and Greg Jones, head of North American distribution and head of EMEA and Latin America distribution respectively, served as interim co-heads of global distribution. They will both report to Suzanne Cain.
Previously, she was managing director and U.S. and global head of institutional clients for BlackRock (BLK)'s iShares business.
Ms. Cain left BlackRock earlier this month, BlackRock spokesman Edward Sweeney said, adding that her successor hasn't been named.
Janus Henderson managed $357 billion as of March 31, while BlackRock managed $6.52 trillion as of the same date.
