Erik Savi joined Carlyle Group as a managing director to head its new global infrastructure credit business, according to a written statement from Carlyle.
Mr. Savi will be based in New York and report to Justin Plouffe, deputy CIO of Carlyle Global Credit. Mr. Savi will focus on offering private investment-grade, below-investment-grade, and mezzanine debt financing to infrastructure projects worldwide.
He had been a managing director and global head of infrastructure debt at BlackRock.
Mr. Savi has not been replaced, BlackRock spokesman Curtis Chou said in an email.
BlackRock consolidated its infrastructure debt and real estate debt platform into a real assets debt platform, led by Bob Karnes, global head of real assets debt, as of March 1, according to an internal memo.
