Cindy Rose was named head of responsible capitalism at Majedie Asset Management, a spokeswoman said.
The role is new. Effective Aug. 27, Ms. Rose will lead and further develop Majedie's commitment to responsible investing and active ownership of its client investments, vote on proposals at all investee company meetings and engage with management teams on behalf of all stakeholders.
"With (Ms. Rose's) appointment we are further strengthening this commitment. She has tremendous expertise and a great track record," Majedie CEO Rob Harris said in a news release.
Ms. Rose had been head of environmental, social and governance, clients and products at Aberdeen Standard Investments. An Aberdeen spokeswoman said a replacement will be named soon.
Majedie had £12.5 billion ($16 billion) in assets under management as of March 31.
