San Antonio Fire & Police sets pacing for private markets commitments in 2019

San Antonio Fire & Police Pension Fund plans to make a total of $130 million in private markets commitments in 2019 and search for a private equity co-investment fund, recently released board meeting minutes show.

The $2.8 billion pension fund's board on March 27 approved the investment committee's recommendation to commit a total of $60 million to private equity, $45 million to private debt and $25 million to real assets funds. The board also approved a search for a private equity co-investment fund. Investment consultant NEPC will assist with that search.
