Christopher L. Sharpe joined Natixis Advisors as chief investment officer and portfolio manager of the firm's U.S. multiasset portfolio solutions business.
In this new position, Mr. Sharpe will oversee investment of the firm's multiasset class funds, including the Natixis Sustainable Future Funds, a family of target-date mutual funds managed using ESG principles, Natixis spokeswoman Maggie McCuen confirmed in an email.
Mr. Sharpe joined the firm April 1 and reports to Marina Gross, executive vice president of Natixis Advisors.
"Given his extensive background managing various multiasset class funds, including in the target-date industry, we're thrilled to have Chris join our team," Ms. Gross said in a news release. "His added leadership and investment experience will play a key role in bolstering new and existing partnerships through our investment solutions capabilities."
Mr. Sharpe was a portfolio manager and managed multiasset class funds at Fidelity Investments until mid-2017, when he left to manage personal and family assets in long/short machine learning-driven investments, Ms. McCuen said.
Natixis managed a total of $934.5 billion as of March 31, $35.3 billion of which was in multiasset strategies.
