Acadia University, Wolfville, Nova Scotia, is searching for an investment consultant or outsourced chief investment officer to oversee management of its C$85 million ($63.2 million) endowment.
According to a request for information posted on the university's procurement website, the university's investment committee is "considering alternative investment management structures in an effort to obtain the best possible outcomes for the endowment." The university is seeking information from firms that offer either traditional investment consulting services and/or outsources CIO services.
Which firm, if any, provides consulting or OCIO services for the endowment currently could not be immediately learned.
The RFI is available on the university's procurement website. Proposals are due at 4 p.m. Atlantic Daylight Time on May 14. A timeline for a decision was not provided.
