West Coast Bureau Chief Arleen Jacobius and Senior Reporter Paulina Pielichata received a Silver regional award, enterprise news story, for their April 30 report on the lack of women working in asset management. The Gender Gap report examined the obstacles women face when working in investment management in the U.S. and in U.K. and what some managers were doing to increase gender diversity, a factor that studies show contributes to improved company performance.
The P&I staff also was recognized with a Silver regional award, special section, for The Global Financial Crisis: 10 years later. Published Aug. 20, the package, led by Senior Reporter Douglas Appell, examined the impact of the crisis on the markets, managers and asset owners.
