Brian Tilton and Chad Phillips have joined Nuveen's real estate business as managing directors and portfolio managers for the firm's office and industrial sector strategies, spokeswoman Caroline Baker said in an email.
Both are new positions. Messrs. Tilton and Phillips will report to Rahul Idnani, managing director and Nuveen real estate's global chief operating officer and U.S. head of portfolio management.
Mr. Tilton was a portfolio manager and head of the U.S. industrial real estate team at the C$368.5 billion ($276.4 billion) Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, Toronto. Darryl Konynenbelt, CPPIB spokesman, could not be immediately reached for information on Mr. Tilton's replacement.
Mr. Phillips was a managing director at Guggenheim Real Estate. Last year, GWL Real Estate Advisors U.S. acquired Guggenheim Real Estate from Guggenheim Investments. Tanyss Price, GWL Realty Advisors senior vice president and chief financial officer, could not be immediately reached for further information.
Nuveen currently manages about $11.2 billion in industrial real estate worldwide.
