Louisiana Sheriffs' Pension & Relief Fund, Baton Rouge, hired Polen Capital Management to run about $115 million in active domestic large-cap growth equities, said Osey "Skip" McGee, executive director.
The $3.7 billion pension fund conducted a shortlist search because incumbent manager Suffolk Capital Management closed in January, Mr. McGee said. William Blair was the other finalist.
Investment consultant Russell Investments, which assisted with the search, is currently managing the portfolio as transition manager while the contract with Polen is negotiated and finalized, he added.
