Baltimore Fire & Police commits to LaSalle value-added real estate fund

Baltimore City Fire & Police Employees' Retirement System committed $30 million to LaSalle Income and Growth Fund VIII, a value-added real estate fund managed by LaSalle Investment Management, spokeswoman Amy E. Baskerville said in an email.

The $2.7 billion pension fund's actual allocations to real estate-core and real estate as of Feb. 28, according to its latest investment flash report, were 5.6% and 3.9% respectively; the target for each is 5%, according to the pension fund's investment report.

The pension fund previously committed $23 million to LaSalle Income and Growth Fund V in 2007.
