BP Investment Management, the in-house manager of the £26 billion ($33.9 billion) BP Pension Scheme, London, made an undisclosed commitment to Octopus Zenith Opportunities III managed by Octopus Ventures, confirmed John MacLean, head of private equity at BP Investment Management.
Octopus Zenith Opportunities III raised £83 million from institutional investors and it focuses on investing in high-growth European technology businesses, such as Zoopla Property Group, Secret Escapes and Graze.
