Michael Weinberg was named managing director, head of hedge funds and alternative alpha at APG Asset Management US Inc., a spokeswoman said.
It is a new position. Mr. Weinberg joined from Protege Partners and MOV37, where he was CIO. He is based in New York. Details on a replacement at Protege and MOV37 could not immediately be learned.
APG is the in-house manager of the €470 billion ($527.2 billion) Stichting Pensioenfonds ABP, Heerlen, Netherlands.
