The role is new. Mr. Rickert will support expansion of Man's global private markets business. Mr. Rickert will lead commercial and residential real estate debt team as the firm expands its activity in euro-denominated real estate markets.
"(Mr. Rickert) brings a wealth of real estate financing experience with him and we are confident that he will be of significant value in driving the growth of our European lending activities," said Mikko Syrjanen, co-head of real assets, Man GPM, in a news release. "We are excited about the potential investment opportunities that await the team and our firm under his guidance."
Mr. Rickert had been investment director at GAM, leading real estate debt business for the past three years. A spokesman said investment directors Martin Farinola and Andrew Gordon will jointly assume management of the real estate debt team.
