Takashi Tsuji was hired as head of CBRE Group's capital markets and investment properties business in Japan.
Mr. Tsuji is based in Tokyo and replaces Yukihiro Ogasawara. A CBRE spokesman said Mr. Ogasawara will be taking on an executive client-facing role.
The CBRE spokesman said in the capital markets role, Mr. Tsuji deals with institutional clients making direct purchases of assets such as hotels or buildings.
Mr. Tsuji was president and CEO at Diamond Realty Management. Katsumi Nakamoto, a part-time director with Diamond Realty, replaced Mr. Tsuji, effective Monday, the company announced.
