CalSTRS taps Meketa as investment consultant

CalSTRS' board hired Meketa Investment Group as its general investment consultant, spokesman Michael Sicilia said in an email.

The board of the $226.5 billion California State Teachers' Retirement System, West Sacramento, had interviewed four finalists in its search for a general investment consultant. The other finalists were Pension Consulting Alliance, RVK and Verus Advisory.

CalSTRS issued an RFP in December because the contracts for its lead general investment consultant PCA, which is being acquired by Meketa, and co-general investment consultant Meketa were set to expire May 31.
