Northern Ireland Water Ltd., Belfast, hired Mercer as consultant for its £225 million ($299 million) pension fund, according to a notice on European procurement website Tenders Electronic Daily.
The water and sewerage services provider sought actuarial and investment consulting to the fund. Mercer will also provide consulting on a wide range of compensation issues. The initial contract will be for three years with an option to extend it three times for one year each.
An RFP was issued in November.
A Northern Ireland Water spokeswoman could not be reached to provide additional details.
