Ohio Police & Fire Pension Fund, Columbus, committed $40 million to two private equity funds, said David Graham, spokesman for the $15.6 billion pension system, in an email.
At its Wednesday meeting, the board approved commitments of up to $20 million each to TA XIII, a middle market growth equity fund managed by TA Associates; and Advent Global Private Equity IX, a buyout fund managed by Advent International.
The pension fund has previously invested in TA XI and XII and in Advent GPE VII and VIII.
With the approval of these commitments, the plan has $80 million targeted for new private market commitments through the remainder of 2019. The plan's private markets portfolio is valued at $1.26 billion, or 8.1% of the total portfolio. The target allocation is 8% for the asset class.
