Hans Sterte was named deputy CEO of Alecta, a spokesman for the Swedish occupational pension fund provider said.
The role is new. Mr. Sterte will work alongside Katarina Thorslund, who remains deputy CEO and head of customer relations. Magnus Billing is CEO.
Mr. Sterte was chief investment officer at the pension fund and will continue with those responsibilities, the spokesman confirmed.
The Stockholm-based fund has 850 billion Swedish kroner ($92 billion) in assets.
