EQT Partners closed its EQT Infrastructure IV fund at €9 billion ($10.1 billion) hard cap ahead of its initial target of €7.5 billion, a spokeswoman said.
Investors in the fund included Ilmarinen Mutual Pension Insurance Co.; Sampension; Funds SA; the $61.9 billion Alaska Permanent Fund Corp., Juneau; the $4.3 billion San Mateo County Employees' Retirement Association, Redwood City, Calif.; and the $14.2 billion Maine Public Employees Retirement System, Augusta.
The fund will invest in high-quality infrastructure companies in Europe and North America and may opportunistically explore opportunities in Asia-Pacific.
Predecessor fund EQT Infrastructure III closed at €4 billion hard cap in February 2017.
