Ohio School Employees Retirement System, Columbus, is searching for an active international large-cap core equity manager to run about $100 million, spokesman Tim Barbour said in an email.
The $13.5 billion pension fund issued an RFP for a manager to complement the existing international equity managers, Mr. Barbour said. Funding will come from reductions in other managers' portfolios; no managers will be terminated.
As of Dec. 31, the pension fund's actual allocation to international equities was 20.5%; the target is 22.5%.
The RFP is available on the pension fund's website. Proposals are due at 3 p.m. EDT on March 20. Finalist presentations to the investment committee will take place in May or June, with a decision shortly thereafter, according to the RFP.
