Alicia Gregory was named head of private equity for Australia's A$147 billion ($103.6 billion) Future Fund, according to a news release.
Ms. Gregory replaces Steve Byrom, who left near the end of 2018, together with Future Fund colleagues David Simons, a director, and Jasmina Osmanovic, an investment director, to set up their own business.
Ms. Gregory comes to the sovereign wealth fund from Sydney-based MLC Investment Management, where she served as head of private equity.
An MLC spokesman couldn't immediately be reached for comment.
The news release said the Future Fund will recruit additional senior staff for its private equity team.
As of Dec. 31, the value of the fund's private equity allocations were A$23.3 billion.
