Charles Moussier was named head of insurance investment solutions for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Invesco, a spokesman said in an email Monday.
The position is new. Mr. Moussier supports the development of Invesco's insurance business in the region, reporting to Alexandre Mincier, global head of insurance.
"We are pleased to welcome (Mr. Moussier) to Invesco's Paris office and know that his appointment will help us develop our already successful insurance operations in EMEA," Mr. Mincier said in a news release. "European insurance investors face challenging market conditions, and we are thrilled to have someone of his experience and aptitude on the team."
Mr. Moussier was previously executive director for the investment banking division of Natixis.
Invesco had $888.2 billion in assets under management as of Dec. 31.
