Claire Aley was named head of product and investments business management at Legal & General Investment Management, a spokesman said in an email.
Ms. Aley is responsible for oversight of global product strategy, development and management functions and supports the firm's chief investment officer, Anton Eser. Ms. Aley replaced Rhodri Mason, who was named chief of staff last year.
"(Ms. Aley) has a wealth of experience in leading product strategy teams in asset management, and her insight and experience will be invaluable," Mr. Mason said in a news release.
Ms. Aley was previously head of product strategy and development at Hermes Investment Management.
A Hermes spokeswoman said Stuart Ballard was appointed head of product, joining the business in January from BlackRock, where he was director of product development.
LGIM had £1.015 trillion ($1.34 trillion) in assets under management as of Dec. 31.
