Stephen Castle was named head of U.K. consultant relations at Aviva Investors, a spokesman said.
The position is new. Mr. Castle is responsible for managing and developing the firm's network of consultant relationships across the U.K.; he reports to Roger Price-Haworth, head of U.K. institutional and global consultants.
"As we continue to grow Aviva Investors' institutional business, developing our consultant engagement and partnership program will be increasingly important at a global and regional level," Mr. Price-Haworth said in a news release. "(Mr. Castle) brings a great deal of experience and knowledge to the role. His understanding of institutional clients' needs will be of significant value, and we are delighted to welcome him to the team."
Mr. Castle was senior business development manager at Pictet Asset Management. A spokesman could not be reached to comment about a replacement.
Aviva Investors had £348 billion ($458 billion) in assets under management as of June 30.
