Sion Cole was named head of distribution for the U.K. for fiduciary management at BlackRock, a spokesman said.
The position is new.
Mr. Cole will join the company March 4 and will report to Andrew Stephens, head of BlackRock's U.K. institutional business, the spokesman added.
Mr. Cole was senior partner and head of European distribution, delegated consulting services at Aon. His responsibilities have been allocated amongst a number of colleagues within Aon, the spokeswoman said. Prior to that Mr. Cole was partner and head of client solutions for delegated consulting.
Aon's delegated consulting unit offers full and partial fiduciary management, or outsourced CIO, services to clients with £5 million ($6.4 million) to £2 billion in assets.
