Westfield (Mass.) Contributory Retirement System is searching for an investment consultant.
The plan does not currently have an investment consultant.
"The board has had discussions about the length of the current bull market and have expressed concern about whether we are appropriately positioned from a risk, return and funding perspective," said Liam Browne, retirement administrator for the $212 million pension fund.
The search is being conducted because "the board is looking for the completion of an asset allocation study as the basis for any risk mitigation strategy that they might choose to pursue," Mr. Browne added.
A copy of the RFP can be obtained by contacting Mr. Browne via email. Proposals are due by 4 p.m. EDT March 22. The board will likely choose finalists in April and conduct final interviews shortly afterward, Mr. Browne said.
