"(Mr. Conway) is leaving State Street to explore further opportunities," the spokeswoman said, adding that Mr. Conway will be working with Chief Operating Officer Lou Maiuri to ensure a smooth transition. Ms. Nolan will retain her EMEA CEO and U.K. responsibilities until a successor is appointed.
"I want to thank (Mr.) Conway for what has been a remarkable career at State Street spanning more than three decades," Ron O'Hanley, CEO and president of State Street, said in a news release.
Mr. Conway joined State Street in 1999 as senior vice president, head of global operations Australia. The date of his departure could not be learned.
