San Antonio Fire & Police Pension Fund hired WCM Investment Management and William Blair & Co. to run active international large-cap growth equity portfolios, recently released minutes from an investment committee meeting show.
The $2.8 billion pension fund's investment committee on Jan. 23 approved allocating 20% of the pension fund's overall international equity allocation to each manager. Neither the amount of that allocation nor the funding source could be immediately learned.
Hardman Johnston Global Advisors was the other finalist in the pension fund's international large-cap growth search process.
Investment consultant NEPC assisted.
