Jennifer Wu was named global head of sustainable investing at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, a spokeswoman said.
The position is new. Ms. Wu is based in London and leads J.P. Morgan's sustainable investing leadership team focused on sharing best practices for sustainable investing across asset classes.
"J.P. Morgan has been integrating environmental, social and governance factors across our investment teams globally and will continue to build capabilities to meet increasing client demand for sustainable investing. We believe that (Ms. Wu) will build on our strong results and establish J.P. Morgan as a global leader in sustainable investing through continued ESG integration and the development of new, innovative strategies," said Shari Schiffman, co-head of global product strategy, in a news release.
Ms. Wu was a member of the sustainable investing team at BlackRock. A spokeswoman could not be reached to comment about a replacement.
J.P. Morgan Asset Management had $1.7 trillion in assets under management as of Dec. 31.
