SK Capital Partners closed its SK Capital Partners V fund at about $2.1 billion, the private equity manager said Monday in a news release.
The buyout fund focuses on the chemical, pharmaceutical and specialty materials sectors. The prior fund, SK Capital Partners IV, closed at $1 billion in 2014.
Investors include the $111.1 billion New York State Teachers' Retirement System, Albany; the $71.2 billion Michigan State Retirement Systems, East Lansing; the $51.8 billion Illinois Teachers' Retirement System, Springfield; and the $17.3 billion Arkansas Teacher Retirement System, Little Rock.
