Alameda County Employees' Retirement Association, Oakland, Calif., made two new commitments totaling $63 million, said Agnes Ducanes, administrative specialist, in an email.
The $8.3 billion pension fund committed up to $33 million to Genstar Capital Partners IX, a middle-market buyout fund, and up to $30 million to Taurus Mining Finance Fund II, a natural resources fund managed by Taurus Funds Management.
As of Sept. 30, the actual allocations to private equity and real assets were 6.1% and 3.8%, respectively.
