Georg Wunderlin was named global head of private assets at Schroders, a spokesman said.
The position is new. Mr. Wunderlin, effective in May, will focus on developing and executing private assets growth strategy globally, reporting to Peter Harrison, group CEO.
"We are confident that the arrival of (Mr. Wunderlin) will ensure we continue to meet our clients' investment objectives by delivering industry-leading solutions across the private assets space," Mr. Harrison said in a news release.
Mr. Wunderlin currently is CEO of HQ Capital and will leave the firm March 31, a spokesman said. Bernd Turk, managing director, will replace Mr. Wunderlin on April 1.
