Ying Tan joined Russell Investment Management (Shanghai) as president and general manager, the company said Wednesday.
Ms. Tan replaces Brian Ingram. A Russell spokesman in Seattle said Mr. Ingram left Russell on Nov. 30, with Ryan Fu, the Shanghai unit's deputy general manager and chief compliance officer, stepping in as acting president and general manager.
The spokesman had no further information regarding Mr. Ingram. Mr. Ingram couldn't be reached for comment.
Ms. Tan comes to Russell from Mercer, where she served as a principal and head of the firm's investment business in China, a Russell news release said.
Janet Li, Mercer's Hong Kong-based wealth business leader for Asia, confirmed Ms. Tan's departure as of Jan. 25 and said Leo Shen joined Mercer on Jan. 11 as the firm's China wealth business leader. Mr. Shen comes to Mercer from Rongtong Global Investment, where he served as deputy CEO, Ms. Li said in an email.
