Start me up! A non-profit organization looking to educate Americans on the beast of burden that is saving for retirement is touring with the Rolling Stones.
The Alliance for Lifetime Income has announced that it is the sole sponsor of the 2019 Rolling Stones "No Filter" Tour. The alliance was formed last year to teach people that when it comes to planning for retirement, you don't want to be under the thumb of financial planners and that time is not on your side (no, it isn't).
Jean Statler, executive director of the alliance, said in a press call that when presented "with the opportunity to partner with one of the most iconic bands in the world, we said yes. This is the audience that we're looking to educate."
Ms. Statler added: "This partnership with the tour gives us a great opportunity to educate young and old about the need for protected lifetime income and financial security, so that whatever your age, whatever adventure or road you choose, you can keep doing what you love."
Mick, Keith & Co. will begin the 16-show "No Filter" Tour on April 20 at the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, then play shows in Jacksonville, Fla.; Houston; New Orleans; Glendale, Ariz.; Pasadena, Calif.; Santa Clara, Calif.; Seattle; Denver; Washington; Philadelphia; Foxborough, Mass.; two shows in East Rutherford, N.J.; and conclude with two shows on June 21 and June 25 at Soldier Field in Chicago.
"You can't always get what you want, but that doesn't mean you have to live with risk in retirement," Ms. Statler said.
