Texas Teacher Retirement System, Austin, committed a total of $500 million to two real estate funds, a transaction report showed.
Investment officers at the $153 billion pension fund in January committed $300 million to Oak Street Real Estate Capital Net Lease Property Fund, a U.S. core real estate fund. This is the pension fund's first investment with the manager.
The pension fund committed $200 million to U.S. opportunistic real estate fund Westbrook Real Estate Fund XI. TRS previously invested or committed a total of $250 million to Westbrook Partners' earlier real estate funds in its series.
