Mattias de Beau was named partner at Adams Street Partners, a spokesman said.
Mr. de Beau replaced Arnaud De Cremiers, who left the firm in late 2018. Mr. De Cremiers was appointed partner at Oakley Capital Investments.
Mr. de Beau, who is based in London, focuses on sourcing investment opportunities, conducting due diligence and managing private equity fund manager relationships in Europe.
"(Mr. de Beau) is a veteran in building comprehensive private markets portfolios, and his local presence will help in our ongoing efforts to provide investors with access to the top fund managers in Europe," said Sergey Sheshuryak, partner, in a news release.
Mr. de Beau was co-head of Europe, the Middle East and Africa investments, covering primary, secondary and co-investments at StepStone Group. A spokesman could not be reached to comment about a replacement.
