Roger Gray, CEO of USS investment Management, the manager of the £60 billion ($77 billion) Universities Superannuation Scheme, London, will retire in September, a spokeswoman said.
Mr. Gray has served as CEO since 2009. Details of his replacement are not yet known, the spokeswoman said.
"Knowing of (Mr. Gray's) intentions so far in advance has allowed us to take a structured approach to succession planning, which will include opportunities for growth for the existing team," said Bill Galvin, group CEO of USS, in a statement. "The search for (his) successor is already well under way and is focused on achieving a seamless transition when he eventually hands over his responsibilities."
